Operations with Record Fields

Apply Text Formula to a Field
(Field, TextFormula)

Modify the Field value according to the TextFormula.
For example, you can set field "Title" = "Dear Mr [Second Name]".

Apply Formula to a Field
(Field, Formula)
Set the value of field Field of the current record according to formula Formula.
For example, if the Quantity field is set as the Field, and [Quantity]+1 set as the formula, when the action is executed the value of the Quantity field will increase by one (Quantity=[Quantity]+1). For more details see section Formula Editor.

Change Image Field
(Field, PathToImage)
Set picture for Field from a file located in PathToImage. PathToImage is a text formula parameter, so it can contain variables, field values, etc.

Spell-Check Field
(Field)
Spell-checks words in the specified Field. The spell-check uses English dictionary. To add additional words to the dictionary (e.g., new language), copy them to the file tahspelldic.txt that is available in the program's data folder. Only one word must be placed in each line.

Execute Onchange Action
(Field)
This action manually executes on change actions for the specified Field. For example, you have Field C which is based on Fields A and B. You can setup an on change action only for Field A, and use "Execute onchange ation (Field A)" action for Field B to update Field C when field A or Field B has been changed.

Open Input Dialog for Field
(Field)
Move input focus to the specified Field and open an input dialog if necessary. For example, the calendar will be opened for the date field and the "Open file dialog" will be opened for the image field.

Clear Field
(Field)
Clear Field content.

Change Relational Field
(Field, Recordset, Operation)
Adds/deletes records in many-to-many relational field or simple relational field . You should specify the field in the Field parameter. The recordset to be added or deleted is specified as a variable of RecordSet type in the Recordset parameter. The Operation parameter specifies whether records should be deleted from the field or added to it. Before you use this action you should create a variable containing the recordset you want to add or delete from the field. To create the variable you should use a script (for details, see the Variables section).
RETURN VALUE: Returns 1 if the field was changed, 0 otherwise.

Run script for recordset
(Recordset, UserFunction)
Applies the selected custom function UserFunction to the recordset specified in the Recordset variable. For details, see User Functions - Changing Several Records.
RETURN VALUE: Returns 1 if records were changed, 0 otherwise.
